This week was pretty interesting, we passed a lot of it preparing for a big conference, and the other half of it prepping for the changes tomorrow (Tuesday). We had our pday today, and considering some missionaries are leaving we did a big trip with President and his family. We went to various sites and cities, took lots of pictures, explored and ate. It was such a wholesome day. My mission President is one of the best men in the world, I've grown to love him a lot in this time working close to him. He teaches me so much!
This week I finished reading every reference of Jesus Christ listed in the index at the back of the Book of Mormon. It was something President Escobar challenged me to do in my training, and I took it to my other mission and continued doing it all the way until finishing this last week. It has deepened my conversion to Him. We cleaned another filthy house this week, and I had an interestingly spiritual experience during it. As I was cleaning mold out of the cracks in the tile of the shower, I pondered about how it was the 6th house we've cleaned in the transfer. I thought about how they were all found dirty but were left clean. Some were harder to clean, some didn't seem so bad until opening the toilet or the fridge, and others were okay when we found them and just needed some final touches. The atonement of our Savior is so so personal. Just like we went to each house one by one, he went to each house (person) one by one. He took his time with each, cleaning the dirtiest of the dirty and cleaning between the tiles with care and love. Leaving the house cleansed of the filth that we all develop over time until we humble ourselves and accept his "cleaning service". It's our responsibility to keep our house clean and always be willing to call Him back whenever we need (repentance). He happily and lovingly has cleaned each of us of our Sins. Spiderwebs, shower mold, food in the freezer, unspeakableness in the bathroom. And he's there to help us stay clean. Because He loves us :)
